My sister-in-law's Granny was the Folk Singer Margaret Barry. Margaret died some years ago, but she won a few awards, and has had a few television shows made. They are trying to find the father of Robert Thompson. ROBERT is buried in Cork. He was born in 1851 around the Lisburn area, but they found that his father, also Robert was teaching Irish in a school or College or Belfast at the time.
Can anyone help. I read that some Colleges had a connection with Dublin and Cork, but I am not sure if this will help.
They hope to make a few more programmes.
Margaret Barry ( her stage name) was born in Cork I think, but died in Banbridge with her family.
