Hi there! Thank you for this wonderful website. What a resource it is! I have a quick question. On this site is the grave of Patrick McGowan https://www.lennonwylie.co.uk/RoyalIrishFusiliers.htm - I believe this is my grandfather. Him and Annie Connelly were married at St Francis Church, Glasgow, 1884. He also died on the date described here so I am certain it is him. Could you perhaps tell me a bit more about this photo? Where the grave is/where the collection is from/what his involvement with the RIF was? We are trying to determine where Patrick was born. So far all we know is that his Father was also Patrick and his Mother was one Bridget Gordon. I have a hunch from older family members that he was from Belfast/Antrim but I have no proof to substantiate it. Thanks! I hope you can help me with the photo!
