Warm greetings from frozen Hanover , Ontario Canada . Im reaching out in hopes of finding relatives that may still be in the Kilrea area . My paternal Grandfather Samuel Thompson worked at the post office as seen in the photograph from 1900 on your homepage . His father ( my Great Grandfather ) also named Samuel was a station master at the Kilrea train station . My Grandfathers younger brother Harry also worked at the train station . My Grandfather Samuel Thompson emigrated to Canada in 1907 , he married the daughter of an Irish ex-pat named Lena Moullineaux . My father David Samuel Thompson was born in Ottawa 1931 - 2017 and I , Peter David Thompson was born in Montreal 1967 . I named my first born son Samuel Thompson b.1995 . I have an aching in my soul to understand more about my ancestry that I sadly did not give much thought to years gone by . There's no one left on my Dads side to ask . I know its a real long shot but thought when I saw my Grandfathers picture on your people of Kilrea page , there's a chance that if I pull this thread .....
